MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. During the last quarter century, the MLK Day of Service has grown, and its impact increased as more Americans embraced the idea that citizenship involves taking an active role in improving communities.

engAGE Travis County “Warm Hands, Warm Hearts” project, will collect new/hand-made/never worn gloves, mittens and hats to distribute to those in need. 

Collection bins will be at the following Travis County locations:

  • Travis County Health and Human Services, 5325 Airport Blvd.
  • Oakhill Community Center, 8656 Hwy 71
  • Pflugerville Community Center, 15822 Foothill Farms Loop

Collection Dates: December 1, 2022 – January 6, 2023.
