AGE of Central Texas is once again partnering with the Pflugerville Community Church to host the free Pflugerville Seniors Conference on May 10th through 14th, with daily seminars from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The sixth annual free community event will feature area experts discussing aging-related topics that include medication management, legacy giving, navigating the aging process, and more.
The conference launches on Monday, May 10th, with “Medication Management” as Baylor Scott and White Health pharmacist Lonna Hayes, PharmD, BCPS, discusses how to successfully navigate multiple subscriptions and doctors’ orders. On Tuesday, May 11th, financial expert Darby Armont, MBA, CFA, CFP®, Executive Vice President at Richard P. Slaughter Associates, will discuss “Legacy Planning” and how to best protect your assets and pass them along to your family members or donate them to charity.
The conference continues on Wednesday, May 12th, when Dr. Mark Carlson, founder of BeWell MD, will present “9 Steps to Successful Aging: what can we learn from the blue zones?” On Thursday, May 13th, Virginia Sampson, Attorney at Law, will discuss “Navigating the Aging Process” including legal and financial considerations as you age.
The conference concludes on Friday, May 14th, when Natalie Alcorta, Resources Manager for AGE of Central Texas, presents “How to Locate and Access Community Resources.”
