Austin Public Library is excited to bring community partners, advocates, and organizations together to help shape the future of accessibility and inclusion across the Library system.
Together, they will explore how the library currently provides accessible services and resources, discuss opportunities for improvement, and identify ways to make the spaces more welcoming, comfortable, and inviting for all citizens. During the event, participants will visit the Carver Branch to learn more about the accessible resources, services, and accommodations currently available.
This conversation will also help the staff continue to grow in understanding of how to respectfully assist, support, and include people with a wide range of abilities and disabilities. Your insight, experiences, and ideas will help shape a more inclusive library environment for everyone.
